From the venue to any broadcaster, over the public internet
Live event example: the video output of a live production from within an arena is encoded and transported using the ELAS.TECH protocol. From the venue, the video feed is transported into the cloud infrastructure and on to a broadcaster — in this example, a broadcaster located in Malaysia.
Contribute
The video output of the live production is encoded within the arena, with last mile connectivity provided through a customer-sourced local ISP.
Transport
The protocol uses AWS’ backbone network to transport the signal globally. All error correction and multi-pathing is carried out through the ELAS.TECH protocol.
Deliver
The feed is delivered on to the broadcaster. Additional OTT feeds can be generated and delivered to a CDN of choice, and/or social platforms.

02 Do you have access to all live events? +
MediaAtmos can access virtually any sporting or non-sporting live events.
Through our European teleports we have access to most major satellites that have a beam across northern Europe.

03 Do I need to use specific protocol or codec on ELAS.TECH? +
ELAS.TECH supports all major transport protocols including SRT and RIST and is codec agnostic.
MediaAtmos is an SRT Alliance member and its ELAS.TECH streaming products are accredited with “SRT Ready” and “SRT Plugged” status by successfully completing interoperability testing at the SRT InterOp Plugfest.
SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) is an open-source video transport protocol driven by the SRT Alliance, that enables the delivery of high-quality, secure, low-latency video across the public Internet. This allows for optimised streaming performance across unpredictable networks, bringing the best quality live video over the worst network connections. SRT represents an alternative to costly satellite links, purpose built fibre networks, or proprietary transport solutions.
04 How can we receive live events? +
Contact us (sales@mediaatmos.com) and we will send you a link whereby your company can be onboarded to our bookings platform.
From there you will be able to schedule the contribution or distribution of live events from one acquisition point to many delivery destinations.
Our automation makes life really simple, you just need to add the time and date, any acquisition details and the delivery destination. We will have pre-configured your destination outputs based on the on-boarding information provided by you, and the automation will do the rest.
